IKEA product photos

The task is to research IKEA’s product photography style and create a moodboard with sample photographs, showing the style we are trying to imitate.

I chose a faux plant from Ikea as my subject; therefore, I created a moodboard that shows their style of photography for such products.

I’ve identified three main ways that the products are showcased:

1. Lifestyle photography – most of the pictures are in this style.
2. Each product is photographed on a white background.
3. There is always a close up photograph showing the details.

Here is my first try at IKEA photos in the same format. They are not quite as good, but I hope it’s a good start. 🙂
